Iran:  The Face of Terrorism

An amazing thing has happened on American streets.  Citizens took to the streets in some American cities and sang the praises of Hezbollah and condemned Israel and, of course, George Bush and America.

If Bush supports Israel, the left will be against United States’ support of Israel.  But in their blind hatred of the president, do these leftists realize just who it is they are supporting?  It is one thing to be “against” someone, but since every negative must have an equal positive, if you are “against” someone you must be “for” someone as well.

The far-left liberals, the group that just turned out life-long Democrat Joe Lieberman, are supporting Hezbollah and in turn, Iran.  Hezbollah is nothing more or less than the evil child of Iran.  Bred and born under the watchful eye of the Iranian mullahs, Hezbollah has grown into a full-grown, black-hearted force which has no regard for life.  The Iranian leaders must be pleased.

Some leftists refer to Hezbollah as a political party—but not as terrorists.  Some liberals on the Internet blogs call it a group of social workers—but do not call them terrorists.  What most fail to notice is that neither social workers nor political parties have their own armies of rabidly devoted followers willing to kill and die for them.

No one disputes that Hezbollah’s genesis is from the heart of Iran.  So it is Iran and its leaders that one must examine if anything is to be learned about Hezbollah.

Hezbollah was formed under the watchful eyes of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini and its early training was provided by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.  Only the most devout Muslims were accepted and they had to be willing to die for Allah in any way chosen for them.  Perhaps the amazing thing is that Iran was able to form, train, and equip Hezbollah while fighting a war with Iraq that would drag on for eight horrible years.

One of Ayatollah Khomeini’s most devoted followers was a young man named Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.  Ahmadinejad was identified by several of the 1979 embassy hostages as one of the ringleaders of the “students” that held them captive for over a year.  They also identified him as one of the cruelest.

Ahmadinejad became a leader in a group called the “Basij Mostazafan.” This group consisted of young people under the age of 18 who joyously ran to their deaths in the minefields laid by Iraq.  Ahmadinejad would hang cheap Chinese-made plastic keys around the doomed children’s necks telling them it would open the door to paradise.  The man that is now the president of Iran, smiled and watched as 12 year olds were blown up crossing mine fields for his beloved leader, Khomeini.

As the war dragged on, child volunteers became harder to find.  The Imams would go from village to village ordering that each family “donate” a child to the cause.  If none were forthcoming, a child would be ripped from the arms of his pleading parents.  There were mine fields to clear and Khomeini would not waste his precious Republican Guard doing it.

To this day, Ahmadinejad often wears the colors of the Basij.  He and his good friend, Hassan Nasrallah, the present leader of Hezbollah, continue to proclaim that children, convinced it was their duty to Islam and Allah to blow themselves to bits in Iraqi minefields, were martyrs, not children murdered by their Islamic leaders.

One thing Nasrallah and Ahmadinejad seem to have in common is little regard for life other than their own.  As the bombs started falling on Lebanon, Nasrallah ran and hid.

Nasrallah learned well at the feet of the masters in Iran.  With any respect for the lives of the common people put aside, it was easy for Hezbollah to appear as social workers to the outside world.  But for those living under Hezbollah’s boot, it was quite a different story.

One such story was related by Dr. Mounir Herzallah, a Shia who lived in Southern Lebanon.  He related in an editorial in the German publication Tagesspiegel the horror of being visited by Hezbollah.  Hezbollah would come into a village and build schools and hospitals, even homes for the people, but would build bunkers for storing weapons and missiles directly under the structures.

Dr. Herzallah asked why Hezbollah was doing this and he repeated the words of the local sheik:  “Laughing, a local sheikh explained to me that the Jews lose either way: either because the rockets are fired at them or because, if they attack munitions depot, they are condemned by world public opinion on account of the dead civilians.”  Disgusted, Doctor Herzallah said that Hezbollah uses civilians “as a human shield and then when they are dead as propaganda.”

If sending children to their deaths in mine fields caused no guilt, should it shock anyone that Iranian-trained Hezbollah put children in the line of fire for propaganda purposes hoping for their deaths so the media can get a good photo-op?

One must wonder if those marching in San Francisco and other American cities and in cities around the world realize who and what it is they are marching for.  Would these people truly march for people who sent children into mine fields to die?  Would they truly march in support of people who planned ahead for civilian deaths to be part of their propaganda war against Israel?  Do they realize how they are being manipulated by Islamic terrorists?

There is no difference between those Islamics who were planning to destroy several airliners over the ocean and Hezbollah.  Just the name of the group is different.  Their tactics and beliefs are the same.  Their lack of regard for life is identical.  British authorities report that one couple arrested where going to put the liquid used to cause the explosion on one of the planes in their babies bottle of milk.  An Islamic suicide family—complete with infant.

The leftists of the world, who claim to have such reverence for all life and demand peace, support those who have no respect for life and seek only war.  They support those that kill children with a smile and are willing to sacrifice their own infants because some Islamic leader has convinced them it is their “duty” to Allah.

Truly the world has been turned upside down when Mike Wallace, a respected American newsman, interviews an evil man, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad—the man who put colorful keys around the necks of children before they died—and gives him a chance to spew his hatred for all to see and hear and then remarks about how “intelligent” Ahmadinejad is.

How intelligent does one need to be to send children to their deaths?
